Diversity and Inclusion Statement

We are all touched by circumstance and on a personal level have experience of lifecycles effected by disability, gender, healthcare and neurodiversity - so diversity and inclusion is something we take very seriously. Nigel Haigh has for many years acted as an advisor to an All Party Parliamentary Group on Disability and we both encourage and participate in voluntary and charitable work.

These principles we have applied to the business for over 30 years since the company was established in 1989. As recruiters, many years ago we made it a condition of our terms of business that our clients adhere to these principles in non-discriminatory recruitment practices.

So what is it that we promote:

We want all of our employees and candidates to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work. Lifecycle processes should be designed to prevent discrimination against people regardless of gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, citizenship, or any other aspect which makes them unique.

We want our clients to be engaged. To be equal opportunity employers and operate discrimination free recruitment processes - to be committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce. Candidates we submit and indeed all applicants for any role must feel included; To strive to build and nurture a culture where inclusiveness is a reflex, not an initiative. Where there is a deep sense of pride, passion and belonging that transcends any role, business unit, language or country and is unified in their shared commitment to excellence, innovation and social responsibility. Through experience that different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment that delivers better results.

Philosphy....
We’re passionate about creating inclusive workplaces that promote and value diversity. Companies that are diverse in age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective are proven to be better companies. More importantly, creating an environment where everyone at whatever level, from any background, can do their best work is the right thing to do.

We believe that businesses can be powerful platforms for social change in the drive for Equality for all.

We strongly advise all candidates to read the Diversity and Inclusion statement of all potential employers.

Summary....
HAIGH® is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectiveness. Each of us contributes to inclusion - we all have a role to play. Our culture is the result of our behaviours, our personal commitment, our curiosity, how we collaborate. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, and talent that our employees invest in their work represents not only part of our culture, but our reputation and our client’s achievement as well.
